7 Must See TV Shows & Films Coming to Netflix in February

Don’t you just hate it when all your TV shows go on that winter break and you are stuck wondering what to watch. There’s lots of new shows on offer this February and a few films too, so you can really mix it up a bit.

If you’re just about to start on a slightly depressing Friends binge for the 99th time, hold on a minute! We have seven of the best films and TV shows coming to Netflix in February that are definitely worth more of your time.

 1. Altered Carbon

This upcoming sci fi series guarantees to have you stuck to your screen. Based on the 2002 novel by Richard K. Morgan, it centres around the question of what happens when we reach levels of technology that can grant immortality. It’s based 500 years in the future where every human has a chip at the back of their head which records their experiences throughout life.

When people die their chip can be turned into a new one, so if you have the money, you can continue to live endlessly unless of course the chip gets destroyed. It raises questions about the soul and body. So, if you are a fan of sci-fi, technology or perhaps Black Mirror you should enjoy this.

2. Queer Eye for the Straight Guy

This February, Netflix is reviving the classic reality makeover series, Queer Eye for the Straight Guy. In this series, five gay men help a clueless straight man make his life a little more fabulous. You can get acquainted with the new Fab Five below.

If you enjoyed the original Queer Eye show that ran from 2003 to 2007, then you are going to love this revamp. Long-term fans of the show can also start watching series one from the beginning to refresh the memory! Tune in this February, it’s sure to be fabulous watching.

3. Seven Seconds

Seven Seconds promises to have you gripping to the edge of your seat constantly! In this mystery series, the death of a fifteen-year-old African American boy in Jersey City sets off a police cover up and a search for the truth.

If you’re a fan of crime and drama, Seven Seconds is perfect viewing for you this February.

 4. Everything Sucks!

Okay, we know we did a little Friends slagging earlier, but if you’re a fan of the 90’s sitcom, then this show might just be right up your alley. Two groups of high school misfits, the AV club and the Drama club collide in this quirky coming of age story set in 1996 Oregon.

A comedy show that will have you coming back for more. Tune in this February to see if it sticks.

5. Mute

Mute is the latest Netflix sci-fi movie coming to our smalls screens next month. The film is set in Berlin forty years from today and stars familiar faces Paul Rudd and co-star of Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, Sam Rockwell.

Leo Beiler is a mute bartender searching for his missing girlfriend, Naadirah. In the rolling city of immigrants, two American surgeons are the only recurring clues. If you want to get a sneak peak of the movie, check out the trailer above.

6. On Body and Soul

Into romantic dramas? This movie would be perfect for you. When a man and woman who meet at work begin to know each other, they discover they have the same dreams at night, and they decide to make them come true.

An interesting turn on a romance movie, one to check it out with your significant other this February.

7. The Trader

In this Netflix Original, a travelling trader provides a window into rural life in the Republic of Georgia. Their,potatoes are currency and ambition is crushed by poverty.

The Trader promises an interesting insight into the Republic of Georgia, so give it a click when it pops up in your feed this February.

So now that you have all these movies and tv shows to check out, grab a bowl of popcorn, some drinks and log into your Netflix account, or the one you share with friends, colleagues and extended general family.
