The term “man boobs” refers to excess fat stored in the chest area. It is a common fitness problem amongst many middle aged men who have chosen the sofa and pints in recent years over exercise and a healthy diet.

The good news is this is easily fixable. I am going to give you three tips to banish those man boobs and turn them into gladiator pecs.

The 100 Challenge

The 100 challenge is a very easy home workout designed to build up strength in the chosen muscle group you train. In this instance, we will be doing push ups working on the chest muscles. The objective is to do 100 push-ups throughout the day, each day, for seven days a week.

Building up strength in the chest area is vial to burning the excess fat. It ignites your metabolism, which burns calories and accelerates fat loss. All of which will build towards a strong chest without the jiggly parts. You can either fit the hundred push ups into a small workout period or spread them throughout the day (e.g. 25 in morning, 25 at lunch, 25 in evening and 25 before bed). Whatever way suits you, as long as 100 push ups are achieved in one day. A great and easy way to train without he hassle of leaving the house.

Training

This should come as no surprise , but to lose fat and get fitter , you need to do some sort of physical exercise. Whether that be walking, running, swimming or putting in a few hours a week in the gym. It will all go towards helping you achieve your ideal body. The two main body groups to train are chest and back. Obviously training the chest will build muscle and burn off fat in that area, however, training your back muscles will straighten up your posture causing your shoulders to straighten and get rid of that slouching look.

By standing upright with your chest out and shoulders back you will already see a difference in your chest area and this will go towards having a chest to be proud of on the beach along with the training. Set realistic goals at the start of your training,caim for three days of training or one jog a week or do a few bits each day to get yourself started. The hardest part is getting started once you get into a rhythm you will be flying. If you really want to lose that excess fat you need to train hard.

Dieting

The most important thing with helping you lose the weight along with exercising to banish those man boobs is healthy eating. It doesn’t matter how much you exercise , if your diet and drinking habits are not up to scratch you will still have the same old body as before. There is no escaping your bad habits, they will catch up on you somehow.

The old saying goes, “it’s 70% dieting and 30% training”. This shows how important healthy eating is, so no pizzas and junk food instead trade them for butcher food like chicken fillets and turkey burgers for example. A weekly diet would be suitable and sticking to the strict today with no additional junk food or alcohol will only speed up your fitness goals.
