What Do Women Think About First Date Sex

To have sex on the first date or to not have sex on the first date? You know when you’re dancing with your date or enjoying a nice glass of wine with them and then suddenly the all important question comes up, “Hey, so you wanna go back to mine later?” It hits like a ton of bricks and you begin to sweat and you can hear your heartbeat in your ears, what are you going to say? What are you going to do? Should you make a run for it?

The bus stop isn’t that far, but wait, you haven’t ran since secondary school and there’s just so many thoughts running through your head! There is also a definite feeling that you might just pass out from the nervousness.

The Fear

You want to have sex with him, but you don’t want him to disrespect you or you don’t want to have sex with him and you want to wait. Either way, I think it’s safe to say that most women have been in a similar situation. Having sex on the first date has been debated about for many years; what kind of message does it send or not send? How will you feel? What will happen the morning after? There are so many unanswered questions here and no one really knows whether you should or shouldn’t.

Most of the population who think about whether to have sex or not are women, since we are known for obsessing and over thinking at times. This type of thing can cause many sleepless nights and calls to the best friend.

A Modern World

Nowadays, I would say it’s less taboo to have sex on the first date, it’s almost a given and many people don’t think much of it, which is fine, it’s a natural thing to do. A few years ago, people wouldn’t think about having sex on the first date or even the second. The deed was usually done between the 4th and 6th date and sometimes even longer. Granted there are still a few people in the world who believe in having sex only once you’re in love and in a serious committed relationship.

But majority of people now don’t think much of having sex period. But what do women think about having sex on the first date? A lot of women think that by having sex on the first date they may be considered easy or even branded a ‘slut,’ which is very unfair because women should be allowed to have sex on the first date without having to feel guilty or put down about it. They think that by allowing a man into their “garden of love” that they won’t get a call back or a second date, which again, shouldn’t be the case.

They think that by having sex on the first date, they’re going to be judged by everyone around them, including the guy. They may even feel judged about their body type, which is a whole other story. However, it is important to note that some women may think nothing of having sex on the first date, which is also perfectly fine.

Thinking & Over Thinking

What do women think men think of them giving it up on date numero uno? Many women think that men think (woah, there’s a lot of thinks’ in that sentence), that they’re trash and not “wifey” or even “serious girlfriend” material. They think that men won’t respect them afterwards or that they will be left in the dust and not be given another thought.

Sometimes, sadly this is the case. But sometimes, the guy may be thinking or having the same insecurities you’re having or may be just as nervous. Either way you need to be respectful and aware of each-others reactions and emotions.

The Right Answer

Despite all of this, I think it’s important to remember; Sex on the first date doesn’t mean you’re a “hoe,” and waiting 90 days won’t make you a wife. So, if you’re okay and want to have sex on the first date, go ahead, it’s your life and if you want to wait a while, that’s perfectly alright too. In this day and age, there is no right and wrong answer here, it’s simply what you’re comfortable doing.
