picaderos-restaurant-maynooth-review

A decent lunch can make a good day great, or make a bad day less miserable. That’s why it’s important to find out as much as you can about where you’re going to eat, so you can tell if the menu and food they make suits your own palate. Picaderos is an Argentinian grill and Spanish restaurant that offers a range of flavours, varying between spicy, savoury, sweet, and everything in between. They also have gluten free and vegetarian options for those who are so inclined. So where better to have a Thursday early evening meal when you’re not sure what type of food you want? They have whatever you […]

I’m a bit of a snob when it comes to eating out in restaurants, I don’t mind telling you. Unless a restaurant comes highly recommended by a mate (who knows their sh*t) or via a TripAdvisor review, well then I’m probably not going to eat there. It’s not because I was born with a silver spoon in my mouth (far from it); it’s mainly due to the fear of having a bad meal after forking out 60 quid or so,  it’s my ultimate pet peeve. However, due to a lack of options, I do find myself having to take the odd culinary risk like the rest of us.dundrum It was […]

bistro-53-restaurant-maynooth-review

When deciding where to go for a nice lunch in a place that isn’t Subway, McDonald’s, Supermacs, etc. in Maynooth, there are a few factors that can make the decision a bit easier: Price – You’re not going to spend a load of money on lunch when there are so many cheaper alternatives. Food – If the restaurant has a theme or certain menu that doesn’t appeal to you, you’re not going to want to go. It’s simple really. Quality – This probably is the most important factor in your decision to be honest. You won’t spend on bad food, it’s just illogical. Therefore, I decided it was best to […]

the-brew-dock-dublin-review

I must admit, I desperately tried to avoid being this guy. I really did. I know what you’re all thinking. This is just another review from another arsehole who likes to let everyone know that he drinks Craft Beer. I swear this happened by accident. Please believe me. I stumbled upon The Brew Dock one cold Tuesday evening, as my girlfriend and I were early for a bus and had some time to kill. We weren’t in the mood to hang around Bus Áras so we decided to try out what we thought was an “old fella’s pub”, for the warmth more than anything. Boy were we surprised. “The Brew Dock”, […]
