The festival is one giant celebration for all ages in appreciation of books and the powerful messages that transition from thoughts to words on a page. Kilkenny is one of Ireland’s top competitors when it comes to priding itself in Irish craft and heritage. It maintains a historical element throughout, even on the music scene. If there’s a bit of Irish trad and country to be had, even better! Therefore, why not grab a pint if you’re down in the Short Grass County, enjoy the great gigs that will be on offer and fully experience this fantastic pocket of culture. 5) Marah If you are not shy for some classic American Rock ‘n’ Roll jams, then you will be well at home with this group. picaderos-restaurant-maynooth-review

A decent lunch can make a good day great, or make a bad day less miserable. That’s why it’s important to find out as much as you can about where you’re going to eat, so you can tell if the menu and food they make suits your own palate. Picaderos is an Argentinian grill and Spanish restaurant that offers a range of flavours, varying between spicy, savoury, sweet, and everything in between. They also have gluten free and vegetarian options for those who are so inclined. So where better to have a Thursday early evening meal when you’re not sure what type of food you want? They have whatever you […]

I’m a bit of a snob when it comes to eating out in restaurants, I don’t mind telling you. Unless a restaurant comes highly recommended by a mate (who knows their sh*t) or via a TripAdvisor review, well then I’m probably not going to eat there. It’s not because I was born with a silver spoon in my mouth (far from it); it’s mainly due to the fear of having a bad meal after forking out 60 quid or so,  it’s my ultimate pet peeve. However, due to a lack of options, I do find myself having to take the odd culinary risk like the rest of us.dundrum It was […]
