6 Gigs You Need To See In Dublin This July

There’s no better way to get your summer started than with some quality tunes! Whether you’ve just finished your exams or are taking a much needed holiday, you’ll always need good music to keep you company.

So why not head out one evening with friends or family and celebrate the wide range of musical events happening in Dublin this July. We won’t delay you any longer in finding the perfect event to sip your cocktails to, here we go!

1. The Cadillac Three

The Cadillac Three are an American southern rock group that were previously known as The Cadillac Black. All three members were originally part of the group American Bang but have since then wowed crowds with their fired up singles.

These lads can transform any venue into a super sweaty, electrifying and rowdy event with their sound. You really don’t want to miss this gig. Watch out for their trademark blazing guitar solos, you won’t be disappointed!

Where: The Academy, 57 Abbey Street, Dublin 1.

When: Wednesday July 4th at 8pm.

2. Michael Bublé

This Canadian singer and songwriter is probably someone we have all heard of before. Known for his Christmas albums and hits such as ‘Haven’t met you yet’. Michael has won multiple awards, including four Grammy’s and multiple Juno Awards.

This dazzling sensation is not somebody you would want to miss this month. Bublé has sold over 75 million records worldwide so you will definitely be singing along to a few of his chart toppers. Act fast and book your tickets here though, they are sure to sell out soon!

3. Queen and Adam Lambert

If it’s rock you want, then it is rock you will get with this one. A show stopping collaboration between Adam Lambert and the active members of all-time favourites Queen. Adam Lambert is an American singer, songwriter who takes on the daunting task of replicating the work of the late great Freddy Mercury.

Adam has sold over 3 million albums and 5 million singles. This duo promises to get your blood pumping with their perfect guitar licks and hot howling vocals. Grab your beers, relax in Marlay Park and simply marvel at the talent on display! Rest assured, They Will Rock You!

4. Bruno Mars

Bruno Mars is coming to Dublin, this is not a drill! The American singer is known for his funkadelic pop tunes that get absolutely everybody grooving. Mars can match any mood, so whether you’re going to sing your heart out or sway to some of his deeper songs, you will leave feeling emotionally satisfied!

The songwriter will be playing hits from all of his 7 albums and undoubtedly will lay down some tunes off his Grammy Award winning album of the year, 24K Magic. Guaranteed to bring you on a musical roller-coaster, this night will be unforgettable. Get ready and try to pick up a ticket before they all get snatched up!

5. Grace Jones

An American/Jamaican singer which mixes her style in new wave, r&b and art pop. This artist has inspired many generations and been nominated for countless awards throughout the years.

You might remember “Slave to the rhythm” if you’re a child of the 80’s, check out the cool video here for some sweet nostalgia. What a perfect way to go and rock out to the tunes of your childhood. Don’t miss out!

Where:  Trinity College Dublin, College Green, Dublin 2.

When: Monday July 23rd at 7pm.

6. Imelda May

Last but certainly not least on our list, Imelda May is an Irish songwriter and also a multi-instrumentalist. Her style is soft rock and she has one awards for best Irish female and Album of the year in 2010. Her fifth studio album Life, Love Flesh Blood was released in 2017 and took up a lot of praise from critics.

Irish fans will remember that Imelda played the Irish national anthem last year in Las Vegas before Conor Mc Gregor took on Floyd Mayweather at the T-Mobile Arena. You don’t want to miss out on this gig so go ahead and find your tickets now.
