So what exactly is a Google Chromecast?

So you’re having a lazy Saturday at a friend’s house and there is about 5 or 6 of you lounging around the living room playing on your phones, playing a bit of Xbox and just having a laugh. One of you finds a video that he thinks is well worth showing to everyone else but now that means you are all going to be cramped around a tiny little screen trying to see and hear it. That’s where a Google Chromecast comes in handy. (if you actually know what a Chromecast is!!)

what is a chromecast

A Chromecast is a simple little circle device that you can plug into the wall and slot into the back of your television. Once you have it connected to the internet, a little symbol that looks like a wi-fi logo creeping into the bottom corner of a television will show up on all the apps that are accessible with the Chromecast.

It’s as simple for you as pressing that little icon, choosing your intended location which is the Chromecast ID number that appears on the screen and then watching your phone’s screen get cast to the television and coming to life there rather than on a little 4 or 5 inch screen.

It’s a simple yet effective idea to show slideshows, videos or even tv show streaming sites from your phone or tablet. Some of the best apps to use with the Chromecast are YouTube, Netflix and for android users, Showbox is a must have.

The app has all the latest releases in movies and tv shows and no matter how poor the camera quality is on your device (android can be poor) it will still come across in perfect quality on your television depending on the link you have chosen. So get your ass in gear and stop cramming around to look at a tiny screen and go large with the Chromecast.
