Ah, the secret world of women and what we get up to.
This is a rather funny topic because there are so many things that men don’t know about women. I’m sure if we let men in on our secrets and our thought processes, they would be shocked to find out what we have to go through (I’m sure the opposite is true), but for the purposes of this article, I will be discussing the 9 things that women do that men don’t know about to look more attractive.
I’m sure there will be a few on this list that you’ll have heard of and ones that sort of make you think, ‘Ah, that makes so much sense now,’ but bear with me as I show you a glimpse into the lengths women go to.
This seems like such an odd one to have on the list, but more often than not, if a girl is interested in you, she will go to lengths to research what you’re into so that when you come into contact she knows what to talk about.
This could be what sport you’re into, what team you support, what your hobbies are; she’ll find all this out so that you can better relate to one another.
This one has a range of meanings behind it. Some women may hit the gym to improve their health and shape to look more attractive, which I’m sure most people know. However, some girls wear gym clothes or are seen hanging around the gym just to be able to say that they go to gym and that they’re into fitness, when they may not be. Either way…it works.
Women obviously love pampering themselves, but they also love being told they have soft skin or their hands are like a baby’s bottom or that they’re glowing, and they do this in order to appear more attractive.
Many women will do a face mask a few days before a date to be spot-free or to have glowing skin, they will exfoliate with a body scrub and others will coat their skin in softening cream in the hopes that men will compliment them.
I’m sure we’re all guilty of doing a bit (or a lot – I’m not here to judge) of digging into someone’s ex. Women are notorious for investigating and finding as much as they can about a man’s ex, whether it’s diving deep into Instagram, asking friends or asking straight out. This is because they want to know what she was like for them to know what they did wrong and do the opposite. This way they appear more attractive and will know not to do certain things that she knows will irritate the guy in question.
This is pretty self-explanatory, but usually if a woman has a date or knows she will be bumping into her love interest somewhere, she will almost certainly go out and buy a new outfit.
They will usually buy an outfit that accentuates their best features thereby making themselves look more attractive. Now when you ask yourself how women look so good when they’re out and how their clothes always look so clean and freshly pressed, it’s because they’ve gone out and bought a completely new outfit.
Preening is when you groom yourself. Birds do it by picking stuff out of their feathers with their beaks. People do it with their hands. When women are around someone of the opposite sex that they find attractive, sometimes they preen themselves. This may include taking the fluff off their jumpers or twirling their hair. To be honest, I’m not too sure why we do this, maybe it’s because we want to show men we take pride in our appearance or take some pressure off the conversation, either way women do it to appear more attractive.
I’m sure a lot of you also know this one or at least are aware of it, but I don’t think men realise that women will go out of their way to make sure their nails look nice. This may include a late-night mani by their best friend or spending some of their cash to get a shellac manicure; just something that will make their nails look nice. Not only does it make their hands look nice, but it also makes them feel good, which in turn, gives them confidence and that will make them look more attractive.
This is sort of the same concept as the nails point. It may be as simple as getting a blow dry or as complicated as getting their hair dyed and cut and straightened and everything you can imagine.
Nevertheless, women will often get their hair done to appear more attractive.
I left this ‘til the end because I know it can be controversial, however, each to their own and if that’s what someone wants to do, it’s not your body so it doesn’t involve you. Women nowadays go to extreme lengths to make themselves look more attractive and this may include getting lip fillers because who doesn’t like having luscious lips and wrinkly free skin.
Although some people are not into this, some are enthusiastic about it and men don’t know that women do this is look more attractive. I could go on and go about the secret things women do, but girl-code and the fact that I only promised 9 stops me from doing so!
