Rating We were lucky enough to enjoy a stay in one of Dublin’s newest hotels recently and we have to say it was a pretty cool experience. We stayed in the Clayton Charlemont hotel on a Thursday night and checked out on a Friday and it was a very enjoyable stay. The hotel is part of the Clayton Group of Hotels and the newest in their list of locations in Ireland and it shows. It’s really modern and trendy and is a great location for shopping, partying or even business. It’s close to Luas lines and about a 6-minute walk to Stephens Green/Grafton St while also being no distance from […]

The Alex Hotel Dublin Review

We recently had the pleasure to stay at The Alex for 1 night and boy was I impressed… The Alex is part of the O’Callaghan Collection, which includes other hotels such as, The Davenport, The Green and The Mont. They are situated all around the city centre and all hotels have been praised for the stylish décor, friendly staff and the best service. In particular, The Alex is a boutique hotel and is located on Fenian Street in Dublin. The Alex is inviting, warm and comfortable. It suits leisure travellers as well as the business one. Rooms/Décor The rooms at The Alex have recently been refurbished, with impeccable taste. Each […]

One of the most difficult aspects of travelling is the trial of wrangling the kids, whether the trip is intended as a family holiday getaway or not. Family holidays can often seem to be more trouble than they’re worth, which is why having a family friendly hotel that meets your needs is so important. The Crowne Plaza Hotel in Blanchardstown

Rating The Crowne Plaza Hotel in Blanchardstown is the ideal hotel destination for guests wishing to indulge in anything from a shopping spree to a romantic getaway. This four star hotel effortlessly caters for either business or pleasure with rooms starting from around €113 for two people per night. Our stay in the Crowne Plaza was to catch an early fight the following morning. In addition to this, we wanted to avoid the traffic in the city but also desired to do some shopping on the day of arrival. Staying here fulfilled all three criteria. The Hotel The hotel itself is quite visually pleasing and is teamed with friendly, helpful staff. The […]

O'Sheas Merchant review

Hotel reviews are 100% circumstantial. If you’re a businessman or an elderly couple away on a trip for work or just peace and quiet, you’ll want a completely professional environment with serenity and maybe a nice view. However, if you’re a 21 year old Journalism and New Media student coming from Clare to Dublin to go to a messy concert in Phoenix Park, you’re not all that bothered about the atmosphere around the place when you arrive back at half one in the morning covered in mud and smelling like a brewery. On this occasion, I was the latter. Along with two friends, I got a train to Dublin for […]
