The hype for this Raw exclusive pay per view has been dominated by the build up for the WWE Universal Championship match featuring Brock Lesnar, in his first defence of the title he won from Goldberg at Wrestlemania back in April. Lesnar is up against Samoa Joe who has looked like an absolute monster since winning the No. 1 contendership at Extreme Rules. In previous years, the WWE have come out of Wrestlemania with all the momentum in the world, only to somehow manage to blow it before the next pay per view comes around. Thankfully, that’s not to be the case this year as they’ve managed to keep people’s interests going into Payback, this Sunday, and this is in no small part to the momentum that Braun Strowman currently has after his destruction of Roman Reigns. It may not seem like it but, yes we are actually on the road to Wrestlemania and we only have one more pay per view before the ‘Showcase of the Immortals’ takes place in April.
