In years gone by, the words ‘extreme rules’ were synonymous with the glory days of ECW, however, nowadays the WWE have made those words their own, and since 2009 have presented us with an annual, watered-down version of Paul Heyman’s ECW hardcore heaven. Calling this Pay Per View ‘Extreme Rules’ is somewhat ridiculous, especially given the fact that this PPV seems to be getting less and less extreme as years go by.
